Welcome to Jamie Penfold Photography. This website incorporates my Business to Business/Commercial Photography work as well as my music photography and artistic portfolio.
For most of my life now I’ve had a camera. I took an interest in photography from an early age. My dad had a Praktica 35mm camera and I used to watch him take photos with it and some of the photos he created. He wasn’t brave enough to let me use it so brought me my first camera for my 6th birthday…one of those old kodak disc cameras. It went everywhere with me. The earliest picture I remember taking was of Windsor Castle. As time went on, and several “point and shoot” cameras later, my dad finally decided to buy me my first 35mm SLR camera…something to do with taking better photos than him with my “point and shoot” cameras. So on my 13th birthday I was given a Pentax P30. And thats where my love of photography really took off. 22 years later and I still have the old girl and occasionally venture out with it. I started to do photography courses at school and then at university, with my best mate Matt, began to find my eye.
I’ve since become a successful wedding photographer following the disaster I experienced with my wedding photographer in 2000. I never thought back then that I’d be a full time professional photographer but here we are in 2014 with my services being sought nationwide working on imagery for things like the Eurofighter project and Formula 1 teams. It’s been a great journey. The highlight of my career so far has been achieving my licentiate qualification with the British Institute of Professional Photography in 2013.
If you would like more information about my services, how to book me for events, portraits, commercial work or to commission me to create stunning artwork for you, simply use the Contact Me page and I will get back to you. If you would like to purchase any of the images you see on the website, then feel free to drop me a line. An online store will be here in the early part of 2014.
